Q.  I need a top lawyer to help me with my legal issue.  How do I find the right one?

A.  On the right-hand side of the homepage, you will see the search options.  First, select the city and county which correspond with your case's judicial jurisdiction.  Then, select the area of law.  Example: Did you receive a speeding ticket in Annapolis?  Select Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and Traffic Violations.  Then choose which lawyer to contact based on their bio and video.


Q.  I have been reading about my legal issue a lot on the internet and I'm pretty sure I can handle this case by myself.  Why should I hire a top lawyer?

A.  Every case is different, and there are no one-size-fits-all answers on the internet that will solve your issue in a court of law.  Trying to handle a legal issue on your own is like trying to perform surgery on yourself when you should see a doctor.  The best thing you can do when faced with a legal issue is to hire a top lawyer who is well-versed in the nuances of the law and knowledgeable of the legal system.  In the end it might even save you money or even jail time.

Q.  I have noticed that your site gets a lot of attention and I am interested in advertising with a paid banner.  How can we make arrangements for me to accomplish this?

A.  At the top of the page, click on the Advertise link and fill out the form.  We will contact you right away.

Q. Do lawyers pay to be on this site? What makes them a top lawyer? Are they better than other lawyers?

A. Yes lawyers who qualify to be on our site do pay a fee to be on the site. Lawyers on our site meet the following  requirements:

- Must be practicing law for at least 7 years
- Have never been disbarred or had their license suspended in Maryland.
- Have provided 2 references from other lawyers who consider them an experienced,knowlegdable lawyer and would refer cases to this particular lawyer. Finally, we in no way are claiming that our listed lawyers are better than other lawyers. They simply meet our requirements therefore we consider them top lawyers.

Q.  What separates these lawyers from the other 34,000 + lawyers in Maryland?  Why should I use this site to find legal representation?

A.  The top lawyers listed on Maryland Top Lawyers.com are selected because of their qualifications; not simply their willingness to pay for advertising like some other sites out there.  Each lawyer on Maryland Top Lawyers.com has been practicing law for at least 10 years, has never been disciplined by the state Bar, has never been disbarred, and has received recommendations from two of their peers.  Attorneys who do not meet these requirements are not considered for inclusion on Maryland Top Lawyers.com.

Q. I have a lawyer already and I do not see him on your site. Does that mean he does not meet your requiements or he is not considered a Top lawyer.

A. Absolutely Not. There are many other lawyers who meet our requirements but are not listed on our site. We limit the number of lawyers who can be on the site.And some qualified lawyers simply choose not to advertise. Therefore, other lawyers who do meet our requirements may not be listed. In addition we are not saying that lawyers that are on Maryland Top lawyers.com are better than any other lawyer. They simply meet our requirements.

Q.  I need a top lawyer for legal representation but I'm not sure which area of law to choose.  How do I find the right lawyer?

A.  From the homepage, click on Areas of Law at the top of the page.  You will then be able to see the different subcategories.  If you still can't decide which area of law to choose you can do one of two things: 1.  Make your best guess and contact one of our top lawyers who can steer you in the right direction or 2.  Contact Us and we will contact you right away with an answer to your question.
